Paralight semiconductor sees results.

LED packaging company Paralight (6226) has adjusted its operational layout in recent years and entered the semiconductor industry. It began constructing production lines last year. In the first half of this year, LED production capacity continued to shift from mainland China to Myanmar to improve operational efficiency. The construction of the semiconductor power device packaging production line has been completed, and samples have been sent out. It is expected to start shipping in the second half of the year. The operational adjustments and transformation results will gradually emerge from the second half of this year to next year.

Paralight has been operating in LED packaging for over 30 years, and with its technological advantage, it has targeted global trends and future industry development direction. Deciding to invest in the field of semiconductor IGBT power device packaging, Paralight stated that its current power semiconductor packaging production line is located in mainland China mainly due to optimism for the Chinese market.

Paralight indicates that the semiconductor power device packaging line has been completed.

A small number of trial products have been sent to car power chip factories for testing. Currently, three customers are undergoing certification. It is expected that customer sampling and certification will be the main focus in the first half of the year, with small-scale shipments in the second half of the year. In the future, the main focus will be on four major areas: home appliances, machine tools, industrial control, and inverters.

In the LED business, Paralight's mainland factory mainly produces small to medium-sized displays for use in electronics.

Mainland competitors generally have larger operational scales and the market price competition is intense. Last year, Paralight began transferring production lines and orders from mainland China to its factory in Myanmar, and the production capacity of the Myanmar factory will continue to expand until the end of this year.

Last year, Paralight established a subsidiary in India mainly for the sales of display products.

Para indicated that the downstream applications for the company’s display panels are extensive, including industrial control, household appliances, and automated production equipment that require digital panels and instrument panels. Although the company has entered the field of semiconductors, it will continue to refine its expertise in the LED industry.

Para anticipates a relatively weak performance in the first quarter but expects a turnaround in LED operations gradually appearing in May and June, with a more significant recovery expected in the second half of the year.
